On Friday, Meta launched Meta Verified, a paid verification subscription service for Facebook and Instagram in the US, reports Reuters.
The service would give users proactive impersonation protection, direct access to customer support, and a blue badge similar to Twitter, reports TechCrunch.
The subscription requires verification using a government ID and will cost $11.99 per month on the web or $14.99 a month for smartphone users.
