On Thursday evening, at least 217 people were arrested in Paris following protests against the French pension reform, reports Le Figaro.
The protests were initially peaceful but deteriorated towards the evening when protesters started to throw stones in Paris, Lyon, and Nantes.
The protests come after French President Emmanuel Macron invoked a special constitutional power to force through a pension reform without a vote in the National Assembly.
