More than 1 Million Marched Against Macron’s Pension Reform in France

On Tuesday, over a million people participated in protests in France against President Emmanuel Macron’s plan to raise the pension age from 62 to 64, reports Le Parisien.

However, the figures from different parties differ. The Ministry of the Interior state that just under 1.3 million French participated, while organizers claim it was 3.5 million.

The trade unions behind the protests have promised that more demonstrations are to be expected and have also demanded a meeting with the president.
