Protests have broken out in several Greek cities following the rail crash that killed 43 people, many believing an accident was bound to happen, reports BBC.
Protesters clashed with police outside the headquarters of Hellenic Train in Athens, the company responsible for maintaining the railway, with other demonstrations in Thessaloniki and Larissa.
A 59-year-old station master has been charged with manslaughter by negligence. He denies the accusations and believes the crash was due to a technical error.
