Dozens of Schoolgirls Taken to Hospital after Gas Attacks in Iran

Dozens of girls from 26 schools in five cities across Iran are reportedly being treated for poisoning after a wave of apparent toxic gas attacks, reports BBC.

Some Iranians suspect the poisonings are a deliberate attempt by conservative forces to try to prevent girls from going to school.

Some students and parents believe the attacks are revenge for the girls taking part in the nationwide protests and removing their veils.

Since November, more than 1,000 students have been affected by the gas attacks.
