Meta Launches Paid Verification Service Meta Verified

Facebook’s parent company Meta is launching Meta Verified, a new subscription service that lets users verify their account using an official ID, CEO Mark Zuckerberg writes on Facebook.

Subscribers will get a blue badge similar to Twitter Blue, and the service will provide extra protection against fraudsters and direct access to customer support.

Meta Verified will cost $11.99 a month for web users or $14.99 a month for iOS. The service is set to launch this week in Australia and New Zealand, with more countries soon.
