Apple CEO Tim Cook to Receive a 40% Pay Cut

In 2023, Apple CEO Tim Cook will receive a 40% pay cut, his total compensation of $49m comes from $3m in salary, $6m cash incentive and $40m in equity awards.

In the past three years, Cook has received a base salary of $3m, but his total compensation has been $14.8m in 2020, $98.7m in 2021 and $99.4m in 2022.

Last March, the company held an advisory shareholder vote on executive pay, where 6.21 billion shares voted in favour and 3.44 billion voted against the executive pay package.

Apple said Cook supported the changes to his compensation.
