On Thursday, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that condoms will be made available free in pharmacies for young adults aged 18-25.

The national healthcare system already reimburses condoms prescribed by a doctor or midwife, in an effort to fight AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Earlier this year, the government also began offering free birth control for all women under 25, to ensure young women doesn’t stop using contraceptives due to financial reasons.
