Time Magazine has named Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and “the spirit of Ukraine” as its 2022 Person of the Year.
The magazine named Zelenskyy for his courage in resisting the Russian invasion, other finalists are the protesters in Iran, China’s leader Xi Jinping and the US Supreme Court.
“The spirit of Ukraine” refers to all the Ukrainian around the world who helped “behind the scenes,” like Ievgen Klopotenko, a chef who provided free meals and medic Yuliia Payevska.
