IRS Provides Trump’s Tax Returns to House Committee after 3-Year Legal Battle

The IRS has provided six years of former President Donald Trump’s federal income tax returns to the House Ways and Means Committee.

In 2019, the committee asked for Trump’s tax returns, but the Treasury Department rejected the request when the Republican was still president.

The department dropped its opposition when President Joe Biden took office, but Trump sued to block the release, which he eventually lost.

He then asked the Supreme Court for an emergency block, which was temporarily granted. On Nov. 22, the court rejected Trump’s request to maintain the block.

“Why would anybody be surprised that the Supreme Court has ruled against me, they always do!”
