Airbnb is updating its platform to show guests the total price of an accommodation before booking, in an effort to improve pricing transparency.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky posted on Twitter, that he’s heard the growing concerns that “prices aren’t transparent” and “checkout tasks are a pain”.
Starting in December, the platform will let guests view the total price of an accommodation and the full price breakdown of service fees, discounts, and taxes.

The changes comes amid complaints regarding “chore lists” from some Airbnb hosts requiring guests to do extra cleaning checkout tasks.
