An Iranian schoolgirl has been beaten to death in her classroom by Iranian security services after refusing to sing a pro-regime anthem.
On Friday, 16-year-old Asra Panahi was beaten to death after security forces raided the Shahed girls high school in Ardabil, according to the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations.
Security forces started beating the pupils after they refused to sing an anthem praising Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
As of Oct. 17, 215 people, including 27 children, have been killed in the nationwide protests, according to the Iran Human Rights group.
