The world’s wildlife populations have declined by more than two-thirds since 1970, according to the World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) Living Planet Report.
Population sizes had decreased by an average of 69% in 32,000 wildlife populations, according to 2018 data from the Zoological Society of London.
Wildlife populations in Latin America and the Caribbean were hit the hardest, with a 94% decline in five decades.
