On Friday, the school district in Uvalde, Texas suspended its entire police force, following the death of 19 students and two teachers in a mass shooting five months ago.
The announcement came after law enforcement received heavy criticism of their handling of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School on May 24.
Widespread outrage emerged when almost 400 heavily armed law enforcement officials waited more than one hour before confronting the gunman.
On Thursday, it was revealed that recently recruited school police officer Crimson Elizondo, was an ex-Texas state trooper who had been on campus during the May attack.
Less than 24 hours later, the Uvalde school district fired her after the revelation sparked new outrage.
