On Sunday, Iranian security forces clashed with students at a prominent university in Tehran, the latest clampdown on nationwide protests following the death of Mahsa Amini.
The death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini while in custody, sparked nationwide anti-government protests in several cities and by students at numerous universities.
Videos on social media show riot police clashing with students at the Sharif University using tear gas, clubs, and the sound of what appears to be live ammunition.
Last week, state television claim 41 had died, including members of the security forces by “rioters and thugs backed by foreign foes”.
Iran Human Rights, a Norway-based group, claim that 133 people had been killed across Iran so far.
