On Wednesday, Hurricane Ian hit Florida with high winds, heavy rains and major flooding, leaving over 2.5 million homes without power.
The Category 4 storm out of 5, made landfall near the city of Fort Myers on Florida's western coast with windspeeds of up to 415 miles (665 km).
The hurricane caused major damage in Fort Myers, Naples in the southern US state of Florida and is moving towards Tampa and Orlando.
On Thursday, Ian's peak wind speeds began to decline and the hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm as it moved further inland.
