Dogs Can Detect if People are Stressed, Research Finds

In a recent study, researchers have found that humans produce a different odour when under pressure and dogs can detect it.
Researchers trained dogs to pick a particular breath and sweat sample from a line-up including a sample from a "stressed" person and two containers holding unused gauze.

The researchers then introduced a fourth sample from the same person in a relaxed state. The dogs was able to pick the "stressed" sample in 675 out of the 720 trials.
"This study has definitively proven that people, when they have a stress response, their odour profile changes."
