Jennifer Lawrence Frustrated for Making $5 Million Less than Leonardo DiCaprio for ‘Don’t Look Up’

Jennifer Lawrence has expressed her frustration for making $5 million less than Leonardo DiCaprio for the movie "Don't Look Up."
In Adam McKay's satirical comedy released in 2021, the actors starred together as a pair of scientists attempting to alert the world of an approaching comet.

It was reported that Lawrence earned $25m (£21.6m), compared to DiCaprio's $30m (£26m) for the movie, which she believes is due to the gender pay gap.
"It doesn't matter how much I do. I'm still not going to get paid as much as that guy, because of my vagina?"

In 2014, Sony Pictures computers were hacked, revealing that she also made substantially less than her male co-stars for the film "American Hustle."

In 2016, Lawrence made $20 million for the movie "Passengers," $8 million more than her co-star Chris Pratt, who just earned $12 million.
