Since June 23, Hollywood Director Steven Spielberg's plane, a Gulfstream G650, has made 16 trips spanning almost 17,000 miles (27,000 km), burning $116,159 worth of jet fuel.

Over the past two months, Spielberg's jet has emitted up to 179 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
In contrast, the average American has an annual carbon footprint of 16 tons, while the average global footprint is four tons per person.
