On Monday, the FBI executed a search warrant at former US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

A federal search warrant must be signed by a judge. Law enforcement must first show that there is a chance that illegal activity may be found.
Monday's search was reportedly connected to an investigation into Mr. Trump's handling of government documents.
The Presidential Records Act (PRA) requires American presidents to transfer all of their letters, work documents and emails to the National Archives (NA).

The White House stated that it will limit its interactions with top justice department officials in order to prevent any indication of political pressure or improper behavior.
President Joe Biden's administration was not informed of the FBI search, a senior White House official told CBS.
