Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ Reach #1 on the US Billboard Chart

Kate Bush's 1985 classic hit "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" reach #1 on the US Billboard streaming chart, after "Stranger Things" popularized the song.

The song hit 29 million streams in the US last week.

It is the oldest #1 single in the United States, no song from the 1980s could reach the top of the charts.

Mariah Carey's Christmas song "All I Want for Christmas Is You" from 1994, stayed at #1 for a total of 15 weeks in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The inclusion of the song in the fourth season of Netflix’s "Stranger Things" gave the almost 40-year-old song new life.

The Netflix Original series used the 1985 song when Sadie Sink's "Max Mayfield" character faced the antagonist, Vecna.
