Pixar's Toy Story prequel spinoff, Lightyear is the latest movie to be banned in various Middle East countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The decision is linked to the inclusion of a scene, involving the female character Hawthorne and her partner sharing a same-gender kiss.
The scene was originally cut from the film but reinstated following backlash alleging that Disney had been censoring "overtly gay affection."
The UAE’s Media Regulatory Office banned the film on June 13 due to its "violation of the country’s media content standards."
The movie was due for release on June 16.
